Wondering how to incorporate music into your wedding, anniversary or memorial?
Call Cate for a consultation.
Cate received her ARCT (Associate of the Royal Conservatory of Toronto) in Piano Performance in 1980, after graduating with an HBA in Sociology and Language.
As part of healing herself after a career fighting violence against women, Cate returned to music and theatre. She joined a couple of bands, and a local theatre company, performing in many local performances and fund-raisers.
In 2009, her family grown, Cate made the decision to move to North Vancouver to study jazz vocals and piano at Capilano University.
She later joined a swing band as a vocalist and percussionist, playing local gigs, and expanding her jazz repertoire.
After 11 wonderful years of teaching and performing in the lower mainland, Cate returned to her home in Whitehorse.
She currently performs publicly with a jazz trio as well as solo for private functions.
"Music is spirit. Music is love. Music brings people together in both. It is a vital part of ritual and ceremony and of celebration – of self expression."

Cate and I are collaborating to bring my music to life. I have benefited from her support as well as her expertise in songwriting and musical arrangement. Her openness to possibility has encouraged me to explore my own musical opportunities and to feel comfortable sharing them. I am grateful and am looking forward to the challenges and opportunities working with Cate will provide. |
